I love it. Couldn't care less. I wear them because it makes me happy. I love unique vintage clothes, hippie clothes, goth clothes, spikey jewelry and such. I have native american roots so I love the turquoise and silver. My point being, Wear what makes you happy and just smile back at any weird looks you may get. It amuses me when someone looks at my spikey black and pink hair with bewilderment, and the next day when my long, straight, brown "hippie hair" is down. Always keep em guessing! Your costume sounds beautiful and I fully recommend that you wear it to school Friday, but only if you feel comfortable.
