Why is Hulk seen as the Most Powerful hero of Marvel when its clearly Thor?

Both of their creators "Stan Lee" admitted that the creation of Thor was to make a character who was "stronger than the Hulk and the Strongest Hero in Marvel" but Marvel only gives Hulk more attention because he has more Fanboys

You practically Answered your own question, More Hulk Fanboys
Marvel has let both Thor and Hulk beat each other numerous times but Thor was originally intended to be Stronger and the only reason Hulk is winning over him because of more Fanboys. Sadly Thor never reached the level of Popularity as Hulk did even though in my Opinion he is a much better Character
Well they’re comming out with a Thor movie but basically I think you answered your own question Hulk has more Fanboys
because thor is a whore.
i personally hate the hulk but thor may hav the most strength but he can still be beat by heroes like spiderman wolvering captain america and so on and so forth but the all can be beaten bc they all hav their weeknesses so there rlly isnt a strongest hero unless ur talking about strenght
I agree the only reason people pick Hulk to win over Thor is because of more fanboys, Infact fanboys are also the only reason Superman vs Hulk is considered a Debate
Stan Lee may well have said that, but even amongst Stan Lee supporters, and The Man himself, there is acknowledgment that he sometimes "enhances" or even fabricates stories. Thor debuted only 3 months after the Hulk did, how much time would there be to ruminate over "how to make the next guy even stronger?" Plus, even if you accept that story – Thor was stronger than the Hulk *in Hulk’s first appearances.* Hulk has grown much stronger since then.
Hulk can get stronger as he gets madder. Can Thor do that?
Hulk once held 150 *Billion Tons* over his head. 300,000,000,000,000 pounds. Can Thor do that?
Besides, now Sentry is stronger than either of them. "The power of a million exploding suns." Which if taken at its word is stronger than Hulk & Thor combined.
