I remember a news post before The Dark Knight came out in theaters that said a second actor played some parts in the movie. I also remember the theater version having credits that listed a second actor. I went back and did some research. I can’t find information on this second actor at all. The DVD credits don’t show him and no one knows who he is but I am a hundred percent sure their was a second actor. I smell a Hollywood cover up…

You’re thinking of the next movie Ledger did "The Imaginarium of something or other".
Nope, it was Heath Ledger the whole time.
no it was heath the whole time, but the other movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus he was replaced by johnny depp halfway through
Heath Ledger finished filming the Dark Night before his passing but he was in the middle of filming another film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus which was released in the USA on 5 February 2010. They had to rewrite the story and recast 3 new actors to play Ledger in the film.
Heath Ledger was the Joker in the whole movie but in the next film he acted in Jude Law, Colin Farrel and Johnny depp stepped in to share the part after Ledger died and adapted the script to make it work.
