Find out when your favorite store gets their "trucks" and will be working their "freight" and hang out or call. I know where I work we got the initial shipment and put them out at 12:15am and were sold out by 12:25am. (we are open 24/7). I was told we would be getting them in a case or two at a time from now on…I’m not sure how many are in a case, but I think its 4. The manufacturer is creating the demand and lack of stock…not the retailer….so just hang in there, you might want to just put this toy on your "for the birthday after Christmas" list.

seems like the only way to get them now is on ebay, and they going for more than the shops. i personally dont think its worth paying over the odds on ebay for a toy just because its a fad, the chances are you will spend more on this toy and in 2 months it will be sitting in the cupboard.
best of spending the money on something you know your child will get more enjoyment out of

With me I checked out our local 24/7 Meijer store. Went in every morning, b4 work and nothing. Then ealry one Saturday morning, and went in and they said they didn’t have any but probably on the truck at midnight. Went back at 11:00pm and waited and walked out with two elmos. Came back seven hours later and one was left on the shelf. I got that one too. The key is being consistent and checking everyday. That’s my secret to getting Elmo’s.
