I’m a bit of a treky but i liked this movie. it was strange though seeing some of the plot changes and seeing how fast the movie was. id say 4/5 though. honestly it didn’t feel like star trek anymore. i would equate it to quantum of solace and how it really didn’t play out like a bond film. it was a great movie but it just didn’t play out like a star trek movie.
still every franchise need a reboot sometime and this movie was definitely what it needed to bounce back. it was awesome
I never watched the show, but I loved the movie

Personally i thought it was pretty nice. It was good enough to keep me form going to the bathroom until the end of the movie
Just another dumbed-down silly action flick.
But that’s what I have come to expect from Trek movies. Only the first one had a real sci-fi story.
They DID do a nice job with most of the character interactions between the stupid stuff. Also, I liked the Uhura/Spock thing.
Kirk goes from cadet to captain? Stupid!
CGI aliens including a cutesy one? Unnecessary!
Scotty going thru a waterslide? Insulting!
It rocked my socks off.

After seeing it a second time, i really ended up liking it…a lot. … i might be bitten by the "bug," and might be seeing it again. The new spock and Kirk were *excellent* actors.
There were several logical problems with it (hehehe, I sound like Spock) but if you can ignore that, it’s a phenomenal film.
I plan on seeing it in theaters again and buying it on DVD ASAP.
