What did Weapon X exactly do to Wolverine?

After seeing alot more previews of x-men origins, i just wanna clarify on some things? Are sabretooth and wolverine actually related in the comics b/c i doubt it. And did weapon x give wolverine the heightened sense of smell or is that his mutant power?

They are half-brothers in the comic. Wolverine WAS weapon-x. The "weapon-x" project is where they infused his skeleton with adimantium – a near indestructible metal. His healing ability made him the only person that could survive the procedure.

Sabertooth and Wolverine are not related. However, they have virtually idenitcal mutant healing abilities, and both were given adamantium skeletons in the Weapon X project.
All Weapon X did was infuse his skeleton with adamantium. And then hand him over to Alpha Flight, I guess as well. His senses are all a side effect of his mutant healing, perhaps in conjunction with some serious injury in his past that his healing factor overcompensated in the recovery.
I don’t think the two are related. I can’t remeber much about the series but I do know that Wolverine was experimented on by some doctor guy and lost some of his memory. There are also some tidbits about Sabre and Wolve being enemies and not liking one another. Other than that I’m not too sure about the weapon x thing. Hopefully someone will come along with some better info than my half cent.
Wolverine and Sabretooth are not related. Originally Chris Claremont wanted them to be father and son, Wolverine being the son of Sabretooth. But that never made it into the comics
Sabretooth didn’t get his adamantium skeleton from Weapon X at first the first time he got it was from Apocalypse. Then he and Wolverine fought and upon Wolverine winning the Adamantium was taken from Sabretooth and placed in Wolverine again. Sometime after that he got it back from a revamped Weapon X.
Wolverine’s mutant abilities are the healing factor and heightened senses.
