What are your thoughts on serving a prosecco punch at a party for adults where minors are costumed characters?
I am throwing a surprise birthday party for my mom. It will be held at her dance studio. The theme is "Copacabana", and will include a ballroom class given by a local pro. This all transpired b/c we did a dance to this song a few years ago and as a joke, she came out as Lola! The girls suggested they come in their old costumes and even do part of the dance when she enters the room.
It will be in the late afternoon to accomodate the instructor and I would like to offer a champagne punch as a beverage selection, but worry with minors, the dancers, present. Even if they weren’t performing, they and their parents would be invited, as we are very close to this class. I would not want to offend their parents, but some of my mom’s friends will probably expect something alcoholic.

Good day,
What a fun sound event. You said late in the afternoon..My i suggest setting up round Table in a corner of the room and talk with a friend about attending the table (or set up times and have several people attending for 10-15 minutes). i would offer a nice non alcoholic punch and Champagne, lite apps and petite fours. decorate the table with theme flower ( which Mom gets to keep). You also need to check w/ the mgr of the dance studio..get ok and get plastic Champagne glasses and punch glasses..having an attending (she will pour champ age and punch for each person) no worries about under age and the table will remain as beautiful as the beginning…happy barrys to all
don’t have punch just have bottled liquor and make sure you have someone at the area where it will be served. if you guys are all close you can just make sure no minors get any alcohol. im sure no one will be offended.
Good Luck!!!
