I normally buy my kids, but this year I am thinking about making them. One wants to be a zombie & the other a witch.

My husband and I are both Halloween enthusiasts.
We love cheesy horror films, carving pumpkins, and dressing in classic costumes (mummy, vampire, frankenstein, freddy krueger, etc..)

I was just wondering if there were any other Halloween-loving parents out there, and if so,
How do you feel about families dressing up in a matching costume-theme?
At what age do you feel its appropriate for a child to pick their own costume?
[and when they pick their own costume, do you give them a few different options to choose from or just ask them "what do you want to be?" without any options or suggestions?]
And also, how do you feel about cutesy vs ‘scary’ costumes for families and for children?
[for example, for a little girl, cutesy princess/fairy/ballerina vs scary witch/black cat/dead bride]

The wig is about 30 inches long… and it’s curly and black. I don’t want to be a witch or a vampire…. I was thinking maybe Greek goddess or something? I don’t know… can anyone think of any other costume suggestions? (I’m really bad at this whole costume idea thing, but somehow I got talked into going to a Halloween party!) Thanks for your help!

I know Halloween is 2 months away, but why not plan in advance. Well my 3 friends & I are going to his party & want to dress w/ a similar theme but we each have our own ideas.

My 2 guy friends:
Twilight characters (bleh!!!)
emo teens

My female friend:
rolls of sushi

Me: classic scary halloween
(ie REAL vampires, ghost, zombie, witch, werewolf, etc.)

Alright, well i don’t actually buy my costume, i make my costume. Like ill buy stuff and make my own costume.

I thought about being a cheerleader or something like that.

I don’t want to be anything scary, i want to be something girly.

I don’t wanna be tinkerbell, or a fairy, or a witch or anything of that sort. I don’t care if its revealing.

Well just please give me ideas, and if you have pictures, that’s always nice too.

Hi, i was wondering what to wear on Halloween 2010, can i go out of Devil, Witch & Vampire Costumes, Toddler costumes, French Maid Sexy Costumes, Alice in Wonderland, twister Costumes,
Soldier Girl Adult Costume, as i want this Halloween season my best. Please sugggest me some thing good for Halloween, Halloween Costumes.

I want to be something scary, and I don’t want to be a witch or anything, but I don’t know any good ideas. A girl vampire? I don’t know. Do you have any good ideas? Ten points for the best answer! Good Luck!

Ok well i’m going out with 5 other friends and they are all being characters from alice…my one friend and i don’t want to dress up as a character from that so we need to figure out some really good pair costumes…we are not buying costumes (we will buy some PARTS for it but for the most part it has to be homemade) don’t say any cliched or lame costumes please (like a witch or a vampire)

something for two 14 year old girls… and we REALLY don’t want it to be funny… we want it to be something really cool, original, but something most people would get

For halloween i really really really want to go as a vampire and ive been planning my costume senice like may now that its alomost halloween i really need to pick what im going to be…..so i still want to go as a vampire but, the people im going with (my two best friends gwen and erica) are being witchs and we watch the show called charmed so they were going as Piper and prue and they really really really wanted me to go as Phoebe…and were dissapointed when i said no im still thinking about MAYBE going as a witch with them but im still not sure

i really dont know what to do…. you tell me plz

Yup, it’s Halloween trouble. I have 2 days left and I do not know what to do. I need an easy costume, but not too cliche, like a witch or vampire.

My mom remembers watching a halloween cartoon on cartoon network last year about a brother who makes his little sister go to a witches house and the witch is nice and shes having a party with a werewolf and vampires. the girl has fun. my mom thinks that the show may have been made in the 90′s but shes not sure. apparently they show it every year on cartoon network. if you have any idea what show this may be please help. thanks!

i usually have a ton of ideas, but this year i can’t really think of anything good… i want to be something that’s cute/funny but also scary. like last year i was dead alice in wonderland.

i am 13 and i need a Halloween costume appropriate for school. Also no mask but face paint is totally allowed. I was thinking a pirate or witch. I was just going to go to the local Party America and pick something up. But i could also just make something at home really looking for a person who has tannish skin (even though my avatar is really white) because im mixed with african american and german. So what do you think and also if what every you idea is has a site please tell me what it is. THanks

Since it’s my first Halloween, I decided to dress up as something traditional.

Out of these, which one is best?
- Charlie Brown styled ghost (with the white sheet and holes cut out for eyes)
- A witch
- A vampire
It’s my first Halloween, because I’ve never done anything for it before.
