I starting to get into Superman but I don’t know where to start.

We all know that Superman is the flagship character of DC Comics. But, in a one on one fight which Marvel Comics character do you think has the best chance of either beating Superman or at least battling him to a standstill?

In Smallville, Green Arrow and Superman became best friends. Just wondering if there is any truth in the storyline or was this made to help dramify the series.

It’s obvious that Superman, Supergirl and all the other Kryptonians are telekinetic, which would explain how they are capable of flying. How does Superman control what direction he moves in when he’s flying? How does he initiate take-offs?

He’s like the strongest superhero of all superheroes, but yet some radiation from gemstones drains all his energy, so that doesn’t necessarily make him "Super". Another thing, if villains had the opportunity to use kryptonite on him, why haven’t they tried to kill him? I’m not hating on Superman, he’s clearly one of the best superheroes of all time, but i’m no superhero- comic wiz, why do they make him weak if he’s suppose to be "Superman"?

Any advice or design suggestions? I want to get a lifesize (very large) Superman S Shield on My chest (upper center). Not over my niples, in Red and yellow/gold. Im curious how much this would be, how long it would take( multiple days) and how much skill is needed to do this symbol?
not much detail just the Shield with color. I’m hoping the lack of detail would not make it too expensive.

How can I start from the beginning, when I know that very first comic of Superman is hard to find, unless I can get a copy of it somewhere? Any suggestions?

I vaguely remember a part of one of the Superman movies that a woman goes into a chamber and gets completely changed into some robotic monster of some sort. I’m doing a project and I need to create some superhero costumes. Please name 8 superheroes that are considered the most popular among fans. The superheroes listed MUST be heroic and righteous and generally be considered a good role model. I need to create costumes that can be recognized to which superhero it belongs to and hence the superheroes listed should be prominent ones. Here is my list:

Spiderman
Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Flash(?)
Green Lantern(?)
Aquaman(?)
The Thing(?)

The last 4, I’m not sure exactly how popular they are among fans, but costume-wise I’ll be able to work with it. I prefer heroes which have a recognizable and interesting costume so for example Hulk would be out of the question.
