So, I just love the show the Big Bang Theory. And I love Star Trek. So I’ve been watching and I’ve noticed some similarity’s between Sheldon and Spock. Sheldon has pointy ears, for a human. He is thin built and very smart. Does anyone know if it is possible that Sheldon was based on Spock? It makes sense since Sheldon is always dressing up at Spock.

Is it possible to effectively preform a Spock shock against someone? My friend tries it on me at the most random times, and all he suceeds in doing is annoying me! I’ve heard police use a similar move against rampaging drunks, but that’s only from one source! So would it really work? Thanks!
Oh, sorry! In case you don’t know, a spock shock’s when you pinch some nerve on the shoulder and knock a person out, like Mr. Spock does in Star Trek!

So how was Star Trek (the new movie) I didn’t get to see it this weekend.

I thought Scotty, Checkov and Spock were all pretty good. The guy who did Checkov was the funniest and he nailed that thick Russian accent the character is famous for. The guy who played Spock was the best done in terms of looking and acting like the original actor though. If movies like Star Trek got nominated for Oscars (which it won’t as some weepy and or contvercial movie will get most of the votes as usual), then whoever did the costumes and makeup for the young version of Spock should get an Oscar. His performance was really good, but the makeup and costumes were especially amazing.

What do you think? Did you even like the film? I’d put it right up there with Wrath of Khan and First Contact as one of the best Star Trek movies.

Hi guys im in a real rutt, I cant believe I got into this mess,

Two weeks ago I took my friend to a Star Trek Convention, I came dressed as Worf and he went as Spock. I had a prettty good time but was somehow seperated from my friend.

I am not sure how this happened but I was talking to a guy in a Borg costume that was very detailed. I asked him how he made it so he took me benind his stall and showed me some of the techniques used.

After that he asked me to turn around and asked that I bend over.. I was like WTF… he said you will be assimilated. He then proceded forcefull bend me over and against my will, rape me in the butt…

This was most displeasing. But he kept saying things like "Resistance is futile", "You will be assimilated", "We are Borg" and othr quotes from the series.

I have been an avid start trek fan for many year, is this how the Borg assimilate people?

We checked into a Hotel in Elmira, New York and walked straight into a full blown Int’l Star Trek (Trekkie) Convention!

I have never seen a more moronic mob of mentally difficient, absolute and utter :

Does anyone know of a site which gives information on making rubber (or?) prosthesis as in the various attachments on a Star Trek Borg costume? It would be the same sort of info as in making other rubber parts like a big nose or Spock ears.

I rent a 3 bedroom condo. I’ts really too big for just me..After 6 months of thinking, I decided to take on a renter for 1 bedroom. Very strange he is. He stayed in his room for the most part. A nother person was in need of a room to rent. so I did it. I swore years ago that I’d never have a roommate for the rest of my days but here I am with 2 now. The two renters dont like each other.I’m ready to put out the first renter. He’s really far gone in the head. He lives, eats and breaths, Star Trek He gets in full costume as the Ambassador, (Spock) He insists on conversation w/ me. I’m not interested in small talk about Star Trek .I dont want a buddy, just a renter period! Ive been pleasant to him, but now he’s rude to the second renter I took on. #2 says he’s going to have to move. I dont want him to. I told him I’d get rid of the trekky if he stayed.. I live in Las Vegas NV. I dont know the law on how long ( if any)I have to give him to move out. Im being told anywhere from no notice, to 30 day written notice. He’s becoming more difficult to live with. One night I was knelt down in the dark trying to plug a light in. I had my back to the door and was actually scared he might hurt me. cause I told him he had to move. Yes, He’s that strange I wouldnt doubt he could go postal at any time. He didn’t act like this when we first met. As a matter of fact, he was very quiet, almost shy like a little boy.. My question is, Im the tenant origanally. Im the only one legally responsible for anything that goes wrong in the condo. Do the same rules apply to me when Ive rented out as they do for a lanlord/ tenant agreement?. BTW the owner/landlord knows that Ive rented out my rooms. He said I have all the power of renting to whomever I want and the say so if I want them to leave. My life was peacful . no drama. Now I feel like I’m raising another child. Please hepl. I need to know what the law is.
He’s been renting 90 days now, month to month and no signed agreement. If he became so intolerable how , can I just lock him out. As far as Im concerned, he was just vacationing here. His SSDisabilty thinks he lives in Calif. He wont want to get trouble w/ them Im sure

If anyone can help, it’d be appreciated. There’s a new line of Star Trek costumes for the new movie out. There’s a Spock shirt, Spock wig… but where’s the Spock eyebrows? I mean, what use is a Spock costume without the trademark vulcan eyebrows?! Lol, just joking. But anyway, is there anywhere that sells a set of Spock eyebrows or a site that would show how to make them? Any help would be great, thanks.

A friend of mine whose birthday is coming up will be dressing as Spock (from the original TV show, not the movie) for a convention, and I want to get her some rank pins/insignia to complete her costume. However, I never followed Star Trek, so I have no idea what rank Spock was, and what insignia or other costume-accessories would be accurate. She already has a com badge, so that’s taken care of.
