I have failed at making pumpkin pie’s the past two years, I’m in the process of baking mine right now. I baked it just like it said. 15 minutes at 450 degrees and it says 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees. I did the 50, and the knife didn’t come out clean, So I did 10 minutes more to make 60 and, the knife isn’t clean. How long do you bake your pumpkin pie? Does the knife actually come out clean when it’s done?

It’s thanksgiving. Unbaked pumpkin pie is frozen in freezer. Mom says to defrost before baking. I say put it in oven frozen. Who is right?
THANKS!!
–Dave, there were no directions, as it was a homemade pie.

I have had a recipe called frozen pumpkin squares. I know it is pumpkin pie filling mixed with whipped cream put on graham crackers and then frozen. I believe that is all there is to it but dont know the exact measurements or if i am missing something. Does anyone know?

I want a somewhat easy recipie for pumpkin pie from a fresh pumpkin. I would also like to know what is the best way to roast the pumpkin seeds. I don’t think I want any spices on the seeds other then salt. Thanks in advance for the help!

I am thinking of a bourbon and/or brown sugar sauce, preferably one that has pumpkin pie spices — served warm, of course.

I thought while pumpkins were so plentiful I could get adventurous and try something new. LOL!
I thought that maybe they could be prepared/baked like other squash.
I do not care for pumpkin pie, but I had other items made with pumpkin that were ok.
I think they could be baked with butter and brown sugar.
(After removing the seeds, that is!)

I just added too much ginger to my pumpkin pie – what can I put in to cut the taste of the ginger? It is way to strong.

I really want to make pumpkin pie for thanksgiving because that’s what everyone loves, but I thought I would try and do a twist on it and have a layer of pumpkin pie and cheesecake. I google it, and every recipe I find kinda mixes the 2 together. I want regular pumpkin pie on top and regular cheesecake on the bottom, does anyone have that recipe?
