Why are masks baned at school -10 points - (long description, sry)?
So my school had a spirit day where we dress up as any character from pop-culture to movies to cartoons.
I decided to be a a Jabbawockee from " Americas Best Dance Crew".
i had the shirt; the mask and gloves only cost me a couple dollars, and i knew that my character was going to be easily recognized, so i though it was a good choice.
Spirit day arrives, and a lot of people actually dressed up for the event. Everything from Poke’mon to a Star Wars Clone Trooper was at our school. The whole morning, i had people screaming "JABBAWOCKEE!" at me and asking me to do a headspin - so a lot of people got who i was.
Along comes a staff member and swipes the mask OFF MY FACE and tells me that masks are not allowed; now, keep in mind, i was walking alongside the Phantom of the Opera - who was also wearing a mask - and a storm trooper - who was wearing a full HELMET. My two friends were not confiscated of their costumes.
Now, i dont wanna be racist, but i am filipino/black and my friends are white. maybe the thought i was gang-affiliated?(the jabbawockeez do dress urban-like, but are also a frekin DANCING GROUP)
why are masks not allowed anyways?
if it was for security reasons, why was i the only one punished?
a storm trooper helmet covers the whole skull, yet their headwear was not confiscated.
