i can remember getting an old spiderman novel at a yard sale many years ago (between 10 and 15) and i cant remember the title.
all i remember from the book is that venom was the main villain, and there was a cameo by the human torch. there was also a huge blizzard in new york so the human torch was melting pathways for people to walk through.
i think at the very beginning spidy got in a fight with venom in the subway, but he was out of costume so he had no webbing to fight with.

does this sound even slightly familiar to anyone? i want to find the title so i can buy another copy
