I just want to find an old story with fairies in it. That’s pretty much all! Not a novel or anything. A fairy tail, myth, nursery rhyme, anything like that.

This is my second novel I have written. My first piece was a novella, which was published in 2005. I have been struggling with writers block the past 3 nights. My thoughts keep leaning toward writing about an innocent girl falling in love with a vampire.. But this is overdone. I want new. I want to use a vampire to show the philosophy of immortality, or trying to live a normal life. Maybe even love. Any suggestions would help put my mind in another direction. Thank you.

does anyone know any novels written in another country besides US and Canada that is similar to the novel Zorro written by Isabel Allende. Also the book needs to be translated into english?

I’m trying to make an Erik costume. I have the mask and we have a cape its the actual costume part is the issue. We were looking for perhaps a sewing pattern… I’m not looking for anything fancy like his red death outfit but more like something when he first steals away christine to his home(If you’ve seen the 2004 movie the costume is similar to that or the leroux novel phantom).

I just finished reading the Twilight series and am now looking for some other Vampire books to read. I’m not really interested in the gooshy "Twilight" theme anymore, I want a really good novel with blood-thirsty vampires, seduction, maybe throw succubus,etc etc. Basically, I don’t want to read another sugar coated vampire novel. I can be romanced-theme though. Suggestions?

After only 500 copies were released in London, the title was changed to Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. So basically, therer are only 500 copies in existance and I possess one of them.I read in a magazine that I copy was just auctioned off for 18,000$!!!! So my question is, how much could I likely get and do u know any good auction sites or info pages on this novel. Thanx!

I’m in to vampire books(as you can tell by the question) and books that have supernatural stuff going on in them. I’ve read: the Sookie Stackhouse series, the Immortals series, the Twilight saga, the Vampire Academy series, the Night World series, the House of Night series, and the Darkest Powers Series.
But I get done with books within 1-2 days after I get them. So, in your opinion, what is THE BEST vampire series or novel you’ve ever read?

I am interested in reading the novel Zorro by Isabel Allende, but I would like to read it in its original language. Does anyone know if it was originally written in Spanish and translated to English, or was it written in English first?

I have the opportunity to take an advanced spanish class at my college. What’s cool is that it would be an independent study, meaning just the professor and myself. What’s even cooler is that there was the mentioned possibility of being able to PICK a novel to read. So, anyone have any suggestions? It has to be in Spanish.

Also, I already know of Isabel Allende, so let’s be creative, people!!!
