Beginning in the 1970′s, slasher films made the themes of crazy serial killers and insane asylums a new part of Halloween. Now it is not unusual for haunted houses, decorations, and horror/Halloween-themed movies to include the theme of insanity.

Hosting a masquerade ball. What are some really creative ideas for homemade costume/half-masks? Tight budget, please help.
I have a bunch of plastic half-masks, glitter, sequins, makeup, feathers, stuff to make costumes, etc. I just lack the creative insight that I know a lot of you guys have.

ok, i go to a private school and for homecoming week we get to dress up and stuff. on monday its "red carpet day" where we dress up like celebrities or someone who is going to like a movie premier or something. i dont want to wear like a fancy dress or anything so i need some help with that. also, thur. is horror day, and i dont want to wear like a whole costume, so i also need help with that. if you can think of any ideas please comment!! ; )

My band is playing at a homecoming dance for a local high school on Halloween this year. The theme is obviously horror, so what songs should we cover in addition to a couple originals of our own? We’re an alternative/punk band. We’ve already decided on doing our rendition of ‘This is Halloween’. Any other ideas? Another possibility we’ve talked about is ‘Dead!’ by My Chemical Romance. We need a variety of selections at different tempos.

I’m really into vampire novels, and I want to read the kind that a re romantic, not the horror filled books I’ve heard about. I want some books like the Twilight series that I’ve read multiple times and the Vampire Kisses books I’m reading. Any suggestions?

Why is it at Halloween girls dress as slutish as possible? don’t do anything scary as thats not ‘hot’ enough. I’m not attacking them, as that accounts for 99% of the females who dress up, i just dont understand the whole dressing up in an outfit from a sex shop instead of dressing up in something to do with Halloween… If you still wanna look slutty wouldn’t a slut nurse outfit and vampire teeth be the same thing? whys horror not cool for girls?
