So in the 6th Harry Potter book, the book talks about the Half Blood prince. What does Snape being the half blood prince have to do with anything? How is that relevant to anything else in the series?

I have seen a few webpages referring to pictures of the frontcover of the "adult edition" of the UK version of the 7th Harry Potter book. Does anyone know what the difference is supposed to be between the adult version and the normal one? Which version are we getting in America?

Does anyone know how long the Harry Potter book 7 is supposed to be? I’ve heard somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 pages. But I’m not sure. Anyone seen an article anywhere announcing it or something?

I know there are two editions in British-published Harry Potter book 7, is there any difference in the text?
I know there is a difference in cover, but is the adult edition harder to read?….like using a more difficult vocabulary?
Are both edition written unabridged by J.K. Rowling?

Every time a new Harry potter book comes out I’ve read the whole series over again starting with the first one every time. Ever since the 7th book came out I still have yet to read the whole series again. Could I skip the first 3 books and still get what’s going on til the end of the series?

I am a VERRYY devoted christian. I go to church EVERY WEEK and youth group too, so do not question the integrity of my faith. I, unlike many christians think that the harry potter book series is very imaginative and, quite frankly, one of the best book series I have ever read. It is a FICTION book. JK Rowling is NOT trying to pass it off as truth! So why are some people getting all upset over it? Harry Potter has turned millions of people on to reading, which is a great thing! Its not like Harry Potter is giving us a complete book of spells to try! It does not give us satanic goals to accomplish, like spreading evil. Infact, there are great morals and lessons learned from the books like, good triumphs over evil, and keeping your friends close, and about standing up for what you believe in. It is a childrens book, written by a childrens author. Nothing more. I am soo angry when people try to say that it is an evil book with evil intentions and an alternate agenda.
One person, within the first 6, said that I grouped all christians into Harry Potter haters. I gave you a thumbs up, though I clearly stated that "I unlike MANY christians…" Clearly not ALL christians.

In what chapter of the 6th Harry Potter book does Harry find out that Snape is good, rather than evil?
Ah, sorry about that..I meant the 7th.
Does anyone happen to know the specific chapter?

I am planning to read the first Harry Potter book to my 6 year old son. He is skeptical because there aren’t any pictures. So I thought I would give him a picture book, or an illustrated Harry Potter "encyclopedia" or guide to look at whiile I read him the book. But I just can’t find any. Does anyone have any suggestions?
