I have a 6 year old who loves the Disney Channel. I find myself singing the songs from Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Thats so Raven - I have even considered buying the Disney Channel CD for my daughter (without admitting that I actually like the music, LOL) I even like the shows. does anyone else share this experience?

I am anti-Disney, meaning I absolutely cannot tolerate all of the things, supposed pop-star mania, and publicity the channel receives, which is almost unrealistic. I do not mean the mouse or the old shows associated with Disney, but the crazy, modern channel with the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, etc. I cannot stand these people. Well, feel free to express your opinions, but don’t expect me to stay completely silent, Disney-fans.

I am a 13 year old girl trying to be an aspiring Disney actress!I have done a commercial before for a friend and have been in school plays.I play the saxaphone and play many sports.I have experince acting out skits in front of crowds.My philosophy is that if all else goes wrong laugh it off!I just want to make people laugh!I have good commitment skills and will give 110%.I would really love to try and be on Disney.I feel that Disney is about having fun and that if you believe and try try again your dreams can come true!That would be my dream come true if I were on Disney!Please help a sister out!

I have heard lots of people say they don’t want their kids reading Harry Potter and they think that Harry Potter should be on the Ban book list. But why? If you think that Harry Potter is just brainwashing kids that witches and wizards exist, then shouldn’t we analyze everything we are letting them watch? Disney movies always have that magical touch such as flying carpets, fairy godmothers, talking statues, enchanted mice, poisoned apples, but our kids know not to believe this so what makes Harry Potter any different?

And another thing, Harry Potter is directed for older teenagers and adults and for kids in first and second grade to read these books and understand them, shouldn’t they praised for mastering a level of reading that is far beyond their level?

Got a disney themed night coming up and looking for a costume idea that isn’t the standard Alice in Wonderland/Snow white/Tinkerbell etc… Would like something original, maybe a bit funny, cheap (perhaps even DIY possible?) and still to look nice!
