Costume ideas for a dog?

This Friday my town is having a pet costume contest and I would like to enter my dog. He is a golden retriever (however, small for his breed). What are some good costume ideas for him? Please keep in mind that I will also take him trick or treating in this costume so it needs to be comfortable for him as well as allow him to go to the bathroom.
Yeah it’s cruel when it comes to those people who do it on an everyday basis. However, this is just for Halloween and I don’t think he will hate me if it’s just for one day.
Kelli: You have obviously lost touch with your inner child. First of all, I am taking my 7 year old sister. Second of all, if someone comes to my door I don’t discriminate against age. As long as they are dressed up and aren’t rude then they deserve candy. You are quite prude.

Halloween Candy?

What is your favorite kind of candy to get on Halloween?

Is this decent?????????????????????????????

Bob the Crazy Man

There once was this man named Bob. He was crazy. I don’t really know what happened to him as a kid, but he must have bumped his head really hard or something. Oh, and if you’re skeptical about whether Bob is real or not, make sure you’re never alone. Because he’ll come for you. Now, let me tell you a story about the Halloween of 2007.

It was October 31, 2007. Everyone was outside trick or treating. And of course, Bob was out with his friends dressed up as a satyr. And it looked like he had forced his friends to be Cyclopes.I never knew he’d even KNOWN about mythological creatures. Bob was acting like a monkey, which was pretty normal for him. I imagined that he would be getting in people’s faces saying, "BAHHH! BAAAH!" Like an insane goat. But instead, he would ring the doorbell of somebody’s home, and when the opened the door he would scream, "WHERE’S MY CANDY? WHERE’S MY CANDY?" And it was just a matter of time before the cops showed up.

Bob heard the sirens of the police car and ran up a tree. His satyr costume fell of and everyone witnessed the traumatizing scene of his plaid boxer shorts. Toddlers thought it was a game and started throwing rocks at Bob. Police yelled at him, telling him to get off the tree. He finally gave in and followed the Police’s instructions. I guess he hadn’t done anything too bad, because he was back in his house the next day doing his crazy things.

LOL IT WAS SOOO BAD. I KNOW…..

I was just wondering if you would give a girl and a http://www.welcometothedoghouse.net/pics/cavalier_king_charles_spaniel_wallpaper.jpg

in matching bumble bee suits extra candy.

I have looked EVERYWHERE, but can’t seem to find a Reese’s Pieces costume for my daughter. Her name is Reese and I really want to dress her up as some Reese’s candy while she’s still small enough to let me! I’m thinking either Reese’s Pieces or a Peanut Butter Cup. Whichever! I just need help!!

I need quick costume ideas for school?

Cute Creative Halloween Costume?

I know its August, but i really need to be looking for costumes. I’m sixteen 5’2′ tan, and brown curly hair. I’m in a club at my high-school and you have to dress up and go to the primary school to hand out candy and talk to the children. My school will also have a Halloween dance. I really want something cute but also something creative. I have thought of raggedy Ann, and belle( Beauty and the Beast). My friends are gonna be miny mouse, and Tinkerbell. Any suggestions on what i could be?

What is with Christians and Halloween?

Just a question for Christians about Halloween…

I have two neighbors who are Christian. One told me that they do not celebrate Halloween, because it’s against their religion. However, they did carve pumpkins and their daughter dressed up as a cheerleader and came knocking on my door for candy last Halloween.

My other neighbor also said they don’t celebrate because of their religion. When one of the kids came out and saw me putting up my decorations, his father put his hand over his eyes and told him that if he looked at my decorations, he would let the devil into his soul. Extreme huh? But, not to worry, two weeks later, on Halloween, his kids put on Spiderman and Transformers costumes and came knocking on my door for candy.

So, my question is – if Christians aren’t supposed to celebrate this all American-ized holiday of Halloween, then why do they still dress up put their hands out for candy?
Please note that I said the "all American-ized" Halloween. I know the Pagan origins of Halloween. But, I am referring to the commercialized celebration we have here, today.

What could i wear to be a vampire for Halloween?

i’m going to stay at my house & hand out candy & i’m going to be outside.. but it’s gonna be cold.. like really cold =P
i really like this one – http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Halloween/PackagedCostumes/T3n-Th1rty-One-Vampire-Dress-And-Cape-Costume-278857.jsp
But it’s gonna be wayy to cold..
Also, i can’t buy the boots, so what shoes should i wear?

Okay, so this is my first child and I’ve always loved Halloween and I really excited that I can dress my son up this year. He was born October 21st 2009 and I didn’t dress him up last year. This year I have decided to dress him up as Peter Pan. I am going to make his costume out of green felt, get him some green tights, make his hat and get him a red feather. Plus make his shoes-
What are you dressing your baby/toddler up for Halloween? And are you taking your child trick or treating? Even though they are too young to eat most of the candy.

Is she too young to go trick-or-treating?

This will be my daughter’s first Halloween and she will be 9 months old when Halloween comes! We’ve already made plans with my husband’s friend and his family to take our kids trick-or-treating together. We only have our 1 daughter, they have a toddler and a baby that will be 6 months old I believe.

I’m all paranoid about what I should do. I want to dress her up and take her for sure, but can she have a candy bucket? I would probably just let her have bigger suckers and give our friend’s toddler the rest of her candy so I don’t eat it, LOL.

What would you do?
I don’t want her to have a big variety of sweets at this age but I will allow a few suckers of she gets some. I HAVE to give away the rest of the candy, my husband and I have worked hard to lose weight.

After having Marley I’ve lost 55+lbs and my husband has lost 90lbs from his deployment (which he needed). Can’t have the temptations!
Not to sounds rude…but I know all about helping the soldiers overseas. My husband is about the come home in a few weeks from his 3rd deployment….not to mention I am an Army-Wife, LOL. I’ve volunteered my help, even with having an infant, and given up time with my husband, he even missed the birth of our daughter and most of her first year of life. I think I will give the candy to the little girl. I’ve given everything to the military, I think the little girl deserves the candy, LOL.

Here in a few days I will be helping make 150+ beds for the single soldiers coming home! That will be fun…..

my friends went to las vegas a month ago, and i found out by seeing pictures posted on their facebook. then my closest friend is going to a halloween party (the person who is throwing it, is married with a toddler) and she didn’t send an invite my way. plus i do know the person who is having it…. i know i wouldn’t have gone to vegas 5 months pregnant, but they could have at least told me their excitement about it. or my closest friend could have at least say, "hey maybe you and your hubby can go?" just so i have the option of telling her no. lol.

but anyone else feeling left out of the loop?
plus i have great ideas for a halloween costume for my pregnant belly :) but my hubby is content on scaring the neighborhood kids. you know, like one of those guys that don’t move on the porch until you reach for candy… he gets a kick out of seeing kids scream. i think we’re lucky to be blessed with a girl. she’ll make him sensitive.
kelly we should hang out and have our own halloween party!!! lol. im 23, hubby is 22… we’re young!

Say a princess, a Power Ranger, and a vampire came to your door on Halloween and you hate Power Rangers a lot. Would you still give candy to the kid dressed as a Power Ranger. I am talking about really hating Power Ranger…A LOT.

Do I take my 16 month old trick or treating?

I’m a first time mom, and I have no clue if I’m supposed to take her trick-or-treating. She has a costume, but what time should I go. Has anyone taken their toddler trick or treating before, How did it go? Or what age should I take her at? She walks like a champ and she can carry the bucket and does well with others, I’m just wondering if shes too young. Or is there somewhere I can take her, that they do like a halloween specially for tots?
I won’t let her have any candy, I’ll probably dump it in the bowl and pass it back out, but sounds crazy but I don’t really care for candy all that much, but my daughter loves going "Buh Byes" and can’t get enough of kids, I think she would enjoy it, but I wanted to ask see if it was a bad idea.
I could care less about the candy. Im talking about the experience.

Why can’t we have Halloween every month? *pouts*

Poll: costumes & candy OR trees & presents?
