Is it childish that your friend still has a fear of Elmo at 15 years old? Cause I play mean jokes on her all the time about elmo but she gets scared but I want her to get over it cause I don’t like her being scared of elmo cause i think its pretty childish? Any concerns or ideas for her to stop her fear…?

It’s never really going to go away. And I doubt it interferes with her life at all except for you playing the jokes. It’s all quite harmless, but don’t think it childish. We’re all shapped by our experiences in childhood, and just can’t help that. I still to this day hate stupid E.T. That thing creeps me out. So just be nice and leave them be because if it were reveresed, i’m sure you wouldn’t like being teased all the time.
It could be from a bad child hood experience or the fact that elmo is just plain creepy. I mean seriously, a red puppet that keeps talking about numbers and sharing while looking at you with big BIG eyes… Not exactly something you would describe as cute and cuddly. And i think by you continuing to tease her about it, you are just aggravating the problem instead of helping her.
its fine people have fears at 5 i was scared from the guy at i think Chuck E Cheeses or some other place that did the chicken dance. being afraid of Elmo i like being afraid of heights nothing to worry about
Lock her in a room with an elmo doll. Be in the room with her. Act all counicly and say "this is elmo. He is nice. He will not hurt you." And eventually get he to touch the doll.
Yes it is normal.
I’m 15 and terrified of clowns.
Everyone is scared of something
The only advice I have is to face your fears.
Uh no sorry
everyone has fears so u shouldnt make fun of her for it. Maybe she had a bad experience with elmo or somethin, so just let her be and she will grow out of the elmo fear.
ps. im still scared of the kool-aid man lol
