Is a 21 month old toddler old enough to trick-or-treat?

I know it’s too early to plan for (lol) but I just realized that our new baby will only be 3 months old this Halloween and I really want to get a sitter so I can take my big girl trick-or-treating! Obviously I won’t let her eat all that candy, but she can have SOME and I think she’d have a good time gathering it up.

I took my daughter for her first trick or treat when she was 22 months. She fully understood what was going on and had a blast doing it! Just remember to bring her stroller so she can sit when she’s tired, and if she’s sensitive avoid houses that look too scary! Other than that have fun!
Also, when the scary halloween stuff is out at the stores already, take her to just look at them and get her use to them show her they are not real. That really helped my daughter she became fearless lol. I made it fun and gave high fives to scary looking skeletons, and danced with an ugly witch.
Yes you can! My sister took out her 11moth old baby trick or treating. She carried him most of the way though. Its not like its child abuse or anything!
Well,I guess yes.
i think it will be fun for her. i plan on dressing my one year old up and taking her. I know in my city that you can take your younger children during the day to the businesses. They normally give out stickers, pretzels and things of that nature. I wasn’t planning on taking her out at night. It will be something fun for her and me to enjoy together.
I took my daughter trick or treating last Halloween. She was only 16 months. She had a blast dressing up and going door to door. I just went through her candy when I got home and took out the stuff she wouldn’t be able to eat and only gave her one piece of a candy every day to every other day. I’m going to take her again this year along with my little one who will only be about 3 months. It will be fun dressing the baby up and showing him off. Everybody loves to see a baby in a costume.
I also took my daughter the year befor last. She was only 4 or 5 months old then. We went with some friend who have older kids. She had fun watching the other kids in thier little outfits.
TOTTALLY but be REALLY careful with he candy her immune system might not be dat strong yett soo yea go for it
NO..she will have fun, get some candy. When my kids were that age, we went to different family members houses(had to drive but they loved seeing them) then we went to my mothers for trick or treating, my son made it to about 5 houses and he was all done. He had more fun handing out the candy.
I think it is okay to bring a 21 month old toddle with you for trick or treating. Make sure the toddler is with you at all times and do not take an eye off of her. I do advise you to go in a a small group with at least 2 parents just in case something happens and you might need assistance.
So Happy trick or treating(when the time comes) ^.^
Yes of course she is old enough! my little sister went trick or treating at the age of 5 months! she will have fun! of course i agree dot give her all the candy but dressing up in a costume and getting the big bag of candy at night looking at all the fun houses is a good experience for and young child !
