How would you dress up as a Na'vi Avatar???? URGENT NEED HELP!!!!???!!!!?
I’m going to a costume party, and I have no idea what to wear, how to do hair or makeup. My bf and I are going to the party as Jake Sulley and Neytiri from Avatar. I already know that they are blue skinned and everything and that will be a huge component of this party. I was going to get blue body paint- then I thought airbrushing would be better, but I also think the color will be off and it will be too light if I airbrush it. Most of all, what kind of clothes should I wear? I’m not going in a bikini and loincloth, lol. My bf already knows what to wear… White tank and army capris. (: He’s HOT. lol
Any suggestions, whether you just thought of them or you googled them, would be great. Please don’t give me links to youtube vids, as I don’t want to copy their exact looks and I haven’t found a tutorial that looks completely right, or has a clothing guide included anyway. Maybe links to good wigs, makeup products, body art or henna suggestions, clothing, etc etc. Please be as creative as possible. Also… for the white dots on the avatar face, should I use mini-mini-mini stick on crystals or just white paint dots?
I have light brown hair, light skin, blue/green eyes and I am slim.

I personally think airbrush will be more comfortable, and less itchy all the time. I would advise you to get dreadlocks like a wig. Make sure to get fairy or Spock ears, and paint them the color you will do the rest of your body. I think you should wear shorts, like exercise shorts same color as your skin (pretty short). I think that a tank will work too. Girl, the crystals would be really pretty. If you dont want the dreds, just do braids, and add some beads throughout the ends. Put the crystals on your arms too…Also make sure to add some feathers to your ensemble and then you will have the best costume im sure!

Find some basic blue tight tank tops or shirts and leggings or skinny jeans if you don’t feel comfortable in just leggings, and then paint the rest of your body. use the airbrush as touch ups on your body and clothing. accessorize with a feathered or wooden beady necklace.
use white paint dots, the crystals may fall off.
use blue body paint,wear a adam and eve/gorge of the jungle type nature costume and gladiator sandals(if you want jewelry or accessories wear hippy or knitted bracelets)and thats about it!

Hmm well they say that Avatar is an alien version of Pocahontas, and it kinda is.
So you can wear a Pocahontas inspired dress and get blue body paint.
