You could try doing spin art with them. This is where you tack the paper onto a spinner in a box (for splatter), add globs of colored paint, and spin to get the starburst pattern.
Good luck!
in preschool its supposed to be "Open-ended"… meaning that you provide them the materials and allow them to create whatever they care to create.
Btw, it should be "with" and not wiv
Maybe we’re from different parts of the country but fireworks for Halloween? Why not Q-Tip and cotton ball skeletons, or masks?
Well anyway here’s how I do fireworks for the 4th of July with my preschool class. I’ll use fall colors!
In a soda box (you know the kind that 24 sodas come in), or any shallow box with a lip, tape down a piece of paper. Put a glob of orange paint in a dixie cup. Drop in a marble. Do the same with globs of brown, red, and yellow in their own dixie cups, with marbles.
Using a spoon, scoop out the marbles and drop in the box. Show the kids how to gently roll the box in different directions, this makes the marbles roll around leaving streaks of paint! They resemble fireworks.
Another thing I do for 4th of July is hand print fireworks.
Paint the child’s hand with a color of your choice and have them press it to the paper in which way they’d like. You can repeat the process with different colors. (Baby wipes in between keep each color looking different and not a all mixed together brown)
Good luck!
