halloween costumes on a super duper tight budget?

We might be going to a halloween party this year and seeing as our budget is tight right now, Can anyone help me come up with some nice costumes for my husband and I? I have no imagination whatsoever! I dont want to be something scarey though…I wanna be something pretty LOL sorry im a real girlie girl.

kitty cat, all black or jeans and black long sleeved shirt, ears and tail are $1-$4 at wal-mart or drug store, add false eyelashes and draw on wiskers if you want with mascara or eye pencil
bunny is same but white, with bath poof in pink or white safety pinned to bottom, add pink nose with lipstick or blush
little devil is same but red
Homeless person, old clothes, cut up, dot fake beard on with eye pencil or mascara, dra moustache on same way and thick eyebrows in
Scarecrow, same but stick hay from hay bale out of clothes you can hot glue this in or regular glue this in an old flannel shirt, and sticking out opf old pants or jeans and out of the top of your shirt, also, wear boots if you have them, dot freckles on with black mascara or eye pencil
Miss America, wear any ball gown or fancy dress, curl your hair, make it really BIG with 2 sets of curlers or curling iron, flip it upside down and brush it out, lots of hair spray, lots of make-up, then use wide ribbon, and glitter glue, thick pen, make banner across shoulder that says "Miss America"
Hula girl and Hula guy? Nude colored clothing underneath, two grass skirts, coconut bra, two flower necklaces voila!
Hippie couple? got any vintage clothing lying around? look up pictures from the 70s and 80’s.
Ancient Rome/Greece just make a toga from two old sheets. Add sandals and that olive branch wreath as a headpiece.
you should dress up as a tennis player and your husband should dress up as a golf player.

you can be different characters that are well known - current or historical. you can do just about anything, once you take a look at what they have. Glad you aren’t doing scary.
