made a two witch cakes once. it was two doll cakes dressed like witches (dressed with icing) and they were standing over what looked like a fire it was really a bread bowl filled with spinach dip and each with was holding a pretzel to be stirring with. Under the bowl was stuck red and yellow peppers and pretzel sticks as wood.

this is a hit and a great way to have a center piece as and decorate the table as well
Last year I found three large rocks and painted then orange. I put some really cute halloween faces on them and they look great on the step with the real pumpkin.
