Does anyone have any good costume ideas for Charybdis?

For English, we had to write a monologue for a character from The Odyssey. I chose Charybdis, the whirlpool sea monster? I need to have a costume and props, and I can’t think of any good costume ideas. It can’t be something I go out and buy. Any ideas?

Here is what I am thinking. Just find some sky blue or light blue colored cloth. Make a large square, estimating it would cover your whole body since you will be making a whole in the middle that will only fit your head. Then you can insert your head and make like a gown of some sort. If you know what I mean. Then maybe you can add some spice, and paint it with some white making a wave effect on the clothing. Just let your imagination run. Make do some face painting also to make it more interesting. The sky is the limit from this point. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
