Do you like the Original Cast of Star Trek or the New Cast of Star Trek?

There is the original television show 1966-69, and the latest film Star Trek, in theaters now. Which do you prefer?

The originals will be my faves because they are the originals. Plus it was t.v. in my childhood, I grew up with them on t,v. It is not comparable in that way. But the comparisons will always be made.
The new cast are in a class of their own. They are still unproven though in my opinion. If they turn it into a series of movies or if it becomes episodes for tv then they will get a shot to prove it, but either way they are already a quite remarkable cast and distinctive of the originals.
Having said all that, I would pick the original Spock and Uhura by far over the new ones. I like the new Kirk big time already and that’s only with the one movie so far!!! Imagine him doing more….he could give the original Kirk a run for his money for sure. And I like the new Kirk being written as the underdog with the ladies, the opposite of the original Kirk. I like the underdog and there is possible years of character development right there to look forward to watching in the new Kirk. The new Spock’s taking over the ladies man role, ha ha, I think that is hilarious, not true to his original character, but as Spock would say… fascinating.
The new cast by far! Spock is really hot, Kirk is pretty cute, and Scotty is just hilarious! XD
New one is sexier (oh Zachary Quinto.. <3 ), but I don’t think anything ever really beats the original of anything, including Star Trek.

each of the new actors picked up on the original stars ‘quirks’
and their interaction between each other was superb
sure hope they have more planned – this could be fun
Hate to use this cliche, but it’s apples and oranges. Both are good. Both have their own unique style. The old cast will stand on its own, as well as the new one. BTW, The new Dr. McCoy is prety cool…. I hope they feature him more in the next Trek in 2012.
I do love the new cast, but the old one will still always be great. I like how this cast actually young.
The originals are always going to be who I see when I think of those characters, so I guess I prefer them… having said that I love the new cast too, I think they all did excellent jobs!

For hotness..i like the new cast. Although Shatner was pretty smokin’ in his younger years.
The original series is classic – I feel so nostalgic towards it and William Shatner and Leonard Nilmoy are amazing….however I really really liked the new movie. Especially Zachary Quinto as Spock – he did a great job. And Chris Pine really does have some of the essence of Shanter
So I am swaying towards the new movie…
