Nope. I give it willingly, not through coercion or legalized theft.
Nope. I give some of my money WILLINGLY to charities I feel deserve it, just as I WILLINGLY gave out candy tonight to kids. Socialism is when Obama thinks he knows better than I on who deserves my money and he wants to penalize success and the authority to do so.

No. Socialism would be looking at the three kids who came to the door; seeing who had the most candy.. and forcing them to give part of their candy to the others to make it "fair".
The State going into people’s houses, collecting any available candy in bags, and then standing in the front yard giving away 28% of the candy they took – that would be socialism.
See it’s not a matter of what values you have – it’s a matter of whether you think it’s Ok to impose your values – whatever those values are – on everyone else.
When it’s your choice to give it, it’s not socialism. When someone tells you you have to give it, THAT’S socialism. And when the government takes all your candy and they decide how to give out the rest that’s left over after stuffing their own pockets, that’s communism.
If the government fines or imprisons me for not giving out candy, then that would be Socialism.

If we are FORCED to give out Halloween candy the way we are forced to pay taxes that support someones socialist agenda, then Yes;

If the government took candy away from kids who bother to dress up in a costume and go door to door on Halloween, and then hand the candy to kids who were too lazy, or strung out on weed and crack because they didn’t get any candy; it would also be socialist also…

It has been shown in studies (more than one), conservatives give (time, money, charitable contributions) more than the liberals.
Why is that.
Even with all the taxes that everybody pays, conservatives (we supposed poor uneducated rednecks) seem to give more charitably than the liberals (the supposed educated, elites).
It wouldn’t surprise me to walk down the street, and find that almost every conservative has decorations and are greeting the children with a smile and handing out candy and be happy about it, while the liberals sit around with there lights off complaining about another damn marketing holiday.
No, socialism would be a government goon coming with the children, carrying an M-16 and have a rate card deciding how much candy that I would be required to share with each of my young comrades based upon how much candy I had in my bowl and how little each of them had in their bags. Then the goon would take 20% of that total for his own operating costs.

Well when I take candy from my cabinet and redistributed to the children in the neighborhood its a form of socialism practiced for many generation in this country. Or better yet; how about our local police, fire department, libraries, schools and other assets of our regular life. Taxpayers provide the revenue for the greater good of society. Just like our funding for the military or Defense Contractors.

Hey genius; giving candy is just that. It’s when someone comes to your house and takes your candy and gives it other people in another neighborhood that republicans have a problem with. That my ignorant friend is socialism.

No, socialism would be if the police collected all the candy given to the trick or treaters and divided it up among all the children in the community. That way the lazy children would get their share.
