Do raw pumpkin seeds have to be refrigerated?

After carving a pumpkin with my kids last night I put the seeds in a bowl of water to clean off the pumpkin gunk. I went up to put the kids to bed and I forgot about the seeds. This morning they were still sitting on my kitchen counter soaking in the water. Are they still safe to bake and eat?

should be fine especially if it is cool…..i wouldnt suggest letting them sit any longer… i would go ahead and dry them and roast them….my worry would be fermentation from the natural sugar or sprouting (which rarely occurs with pumpkin seeds)
Yeah they will be fine. They havent been needing to be in the refrigerator their entire existence. So I think one more night will be fine.
I think they should be fine.
