Did anyone buy there child the Elmo Live Doll?

We got one for our 15 month old and it does all the movements but it doesn’t talk at all, so I took it back to exchange it and they said, "Oh, my another Elmo that doesn’t work" So I got a credit on a Walmart card and I was wondering if it was worth it to get another one. So pretty much my question is…."If you got one, Does it work right?" When they said that it kinda scared me that there were alot of them with problems.

We have one and it works fine so far, knock on wood.
I *so* would not buy another one of those things – if you want your kid to have the toy go back and ask for the one that only moved! They are so incredibly noisy and annoying when they can talk it’ll drive you out of your mind.
We have one and ours works fine. My two year old loves it. They are rather pricey but ours thus far has worked great. So it is all up to you.
i got one for my 2 year old and it works how it is suppose to. tells stories and jokes and everything. id get another one and if theres a problem with it then take it back and get sumthing else.
my sister got one for my daughter and my daughter wont even look at it, but the batterys were dying so it didnt work to well
