Could you get arrested if you wear a Starwars costume in public?

If you go out side in public like the mall or going to Walmart or the park dressed up in a Storm Trooper or Darth Vader replica costumes. Could you get arrested by a cop seeing Starwars cosplayers doing nothing bad? Like if the cosplayers were doing nothing bad could you get arrested for cosplaying in them?
I know cosplaying in Japan is common but if you were in a Darth Vader suit can you get into serious trouble for no reason?
Sorry I’m tired and I thought I asked this XD. Friendly cosplayers minding own business… I wonder…
And I’m talking REPLICA suits :p

No, you wouldn’t.
What law are you breaking to be arrested?
No, you can go outside wearing anything you want, as long as you’re wearing something. Some of the best comedy bits are built around that very thing.
I suppose it would depend on the local laws in your area, but the simple act of wearing a Star Wars costume is not illegal anywhere I’ve ever been. As long as you aren’t disruptive or threatening people with fake weapons, I don’t think it’ll be a problem.
You cannot be arrested for anything you wear (there may be local laws, or bye-laws, but talking in general terms)
You can be arrested for indecency, if your costume was revealing
You can be arrested for public order offences if your costume caused an uproar or riot
I think you would be OK dressed as Darth Vader
It depends what country you are in- if its on the North American continent then you are okay!
As far as I know, with all the attention on the "WAR ON TERRORISM", wearing anything that covers your face in a public place is against the law or authorities have the right to hold you up for covering your face.
You should not be discriminated against, for wearing that in public, but some considerations:
- You cannot carry props that look like weapons.
- In many places you are required to remove helmets etc, so you’ll have to go without it or carry it.
Can’t think of anything else.
The only way you could get in trouble is if you entered a facility, they asked you to remove your mask, and you refused, then they asked you to leave and you again refused.
Nope – you wont get arrested for wearing the costume. (The acception to this is if you are wearing it to make money for some reason. And even then, you probably wouldn’t get arrested – just sued by LucasFilms.)
If you act like a jackass and do illegal things while in the costume you could get arrested for that, but not for the costume alone.
