Costume for a Celebrity party?

I need an idea as who to go as for a party where ya have to dress like a celebrity, or make up your own. I would like to stick with the first one, but if not is all good.
I’m blond and i have short hair so that limits who I can be and 86′s some people I’d like to be. I’ve thought about Princess Di, Marilyn Monroe, and Grace Kelley…If I go as any of these people, what costume would I wear? Any other ideas as who to go as?
Also, I was thinking about making up a celebrity…like Eleanor Rigby or something like that…any ideas are appreciated…
The person to answer the most questions bestest gets my vote =P
I forgot to mention that it doesn’t just have to be an actress….

Marilyn Monroe would probably be easiest but I would go with something more creative.
This is going to sound silly, but what about Smurfette? She is definitely a celebrity (famous as far as cartoon characters go, anyway) and she is blond. You could wear a little white frilly dress and paint yourself with blue body paint. I think it would be really cute.
