Comparisons between The Crow and The Dark Knight?

I have to write an essay about the crow and the dark knight, about how they are similar and how they are different.
It seems like Heath Ledger drew inspiration from Brandon Lee’s character, The Crow…any ideas??? or ways to elaborate?

Well I can tell you that one of the differences is that in The Crow, Eric Draven has no qualms about killing the people who did wrong. He went ahead and hunted them down and gave them the ax.
Batman on the other hand, has reserves about killing people. He has a strict moral code. He refuses to kill the people who do wrong. He fights them, and hauls them to Arkham, they escape and the process starts over again. This is especially true when it comes to the Joker. He does some pretty evil, sadistic, and atrocious things to his victims, but Batman, as much as he wants to, won’t kill him. His thinking is that if he kills one of his enemies, he is no better than they are.
Similarities, the only thing I can think of is that at some point in their life, someone they loved was killed and that is the reason they do what they do.
Hope this helps some.
I learned some of this from the book, Batman and Philosophy. Pretty good book

yea totally
Even though the basic plot of similar , the plot is inspired frm the Crow narration is different and the dark knight is quite better than The Crow.
Both of these are great movies. Both are dark movies but The Crow is focused on vengeance and The Dark Knight is focused on anarchy and justice.
Both characters are considered as "Byronic Hero(s)". They are defined as an idealized but flawed character. In simple terms, it’s basically someone that’s neither good or bad. Dark Knight and The Crow for instance is neither good or bad because even though they beat the living crap out of bad guys or kills them (like The Crow does) they don’t go around and commit all these atrocious acts like robbery, stealing, and whatnot. I hope you understand what I’m trying to imply lol.
