I think people want to put out their decorations while the weather is still nice but I hate it! Its ridiculous to have decorations up for three months. I want to enjoy today, not look at Xmas decorations that arent seasonable yet
Ho Ho Ho!
Yes. They could put the decorations up as soon as Halloween is over. Putting them up before is stupid.
yea that would be a no or if u had up a santa clause without a skeleton yea no
I was just talking about that with someone the other day. I think that X-mas decorations should go up the day after thanksgiving. Also I heard someone say happy holoidays to someone already, It’s only October. I think they look crazy too.
Hi,I actually like them yet I would not put them up.One thing I wish they did not put them up so early as it spoils chritmas.
"Yea" looks about HALF stupid – Walleyworld bypassed Halloween this year & went straight 2 Christmas !
I don’t think so..
Well, what I think is, they are just so excited for Christmas and just want to feel the season as early as possible so they are able to be with the season longer, by starting it with having an early decorations. In this way, the season of Christmas is with them in a longer period of time…I think of it as happier than the usual, after all, having Halloween decorations isn’t as excited as decorating for Christmas, here in the Philippines, as soon as the month of "ber" starts, some families start to decorate their homes as a start for the coming season.
We live in Canada,
If you don’t get the stuff for Christmas up earlier you wont be able to do it safely later. we just don’t turn the lights on until the season Begin’s
I haven’t seen that around here (Colorado). I’ve seen the merchandise in the stores, but no one putting things up yet.
We do put our lights up around mid November but just don’t turn them on until after Thanksgiving – for the very reason others have stated – we do it while the weather is nice.
I used to work with a couple that started putting up thier Christmas display starting on Labor Day. The reason for this was that thier property (approximately 1 acre of land) was so large that with only having 1 day a week (and sometimes not even that) off it just took them that long to have it ready by Thanksgiving. It was a fabulous display and lots of people went to it Every year. I think they finally stopped doing it a couple of years ago. But let’s face it— when you’re over 65 climbing those trees to put lights in even with a cherry picker is a lot of hard work. I envy those who can afford to do it and I don’t mind it, so long as it doesn’t bug the neighbors. Don’t get me wrong they did not turn it on until Thanksgiving or more specifically the day after.
My aunt is from Kansas and has been doing that for YEARS! Some people just love Christmas time!
