So my daughter is almost three, she has been living in her halloween for a couple days now. Do I let her keep it on or make or take it off?
I know, it should be in the toddler and preschool section, but it’s a little boring over there!

It is a one piece zipper up costume with Padded muscles for children. Usually toddler age. Looking for 4T, but will take anything bigger.

Can you remember what your mom made you put on as a toddler or what you may’ve asked to be on or very near your 1st Halloween?
I doubt I can remember my *very* 1st, but very early on, I remember being a devil. I wanted to act the part, so I kept stepping on this kid’s ghost sheet costume on purpose!
lol
(In whiny kid voice: "StooOOOOoop!")
As adults, isn’t it THE cutest thing when the really little kids coming to the door w. the most adorable costumes?! Like, rabbits or teddy bears & then they say "trick or trick" in shy little voices? Awww!
Looking at the daay w/ adult eyes, it’s so nice to see that kids still even DO trick or treating today…

My friends and I all want to be twelve little girls in two straight lines for halloween this year. We’re all clearly not little girls and we want to run around in hot madeline costumes. ahaha but i’ve been searching online for hours and i am only finding costumes meant for toddlers !
I even tried to look for a blue sort of sailor costume I could alter but nothing really fit.
Any ideas?!?!
thanks!

My day started with going to the photographer for Halloween pics. Why do I do this to myself? Who knows! My child cried the entire time. Then she was good at the park. Then it was time to go home and eat and she’s being horrendous. She is so disagreeable lately (she’s almost 2 1/2). It’s like I say no and she says yes all day long. It would be so hard to just give in to her little fights but I won’t .
Ok I just had to vent.
Are you having a "challenging" day with your toddler?

We had it cut about 3 months ago. It was thicker and long, and I wanted it out of her face. The in-laws kept telling me to get layers cut in it and I went to the beauty shop and that is what they did. She slept in my arms while the lady went all around her head snip-snipping. it looked okay but not fantastic. i was just concerned with it being out of her eyes so i was happy with it. now she has this underlayer of hair that is about 1 and a half to 2 inches long sticking out all over the place. And the longer part of her hair seems so thin! I think it’s just the haircut growing out but I am starting to worry that she is actually losing hair or maybe it is breaking off or something. am i imagining it? does it just look thinner because it is longer? if somebody could help me feel better i would appreciate it. my poor daughter is gonna be joe dirt for halloween!

This year, I’ve decided to pick something a bit more fun and even childish to dress up for Halloween, and that would be to dress up as Elmo from Sesame Street.
Now, being a high school senior of 17, I’ve been having trouble finding an Elmo costume that’s my size (I’ve only found costumes for toddlers and such, obviously no where near my size).
If anyone could find a store that contains a listing for a larger-sized Elmo costume, I’d appreciate it.
Also, if it helps, I live in NYC, so if there is any store in this location that has it, that would be appreciated too.
Thanks.

I had planned to dress my family (husband, two school-aged daughters, toddler son and myself) in Chinese costumes this year for an annual Halloween costume party. My husband and I purchased beautiful traditional Chinese outfits for our daughters the last time we traveled abroad. We also purchased my husband a silk jacket with a mandarin collar. I was going to purchase a traditional dress. I was then going to dress my toddler boy as a little sumo wrestler. When I told some of my friends about this over lunch, they were appalled and felt that I would surely offend anyone of Chinese heritage if they were also at the party. We do have some friends will be at the party who are Chinese. Have we overstepped the boundaries? Will our friends be offended?

I saw this one episode with a little girl who was like split personality. When she was in costume she REFUSED to be called by her name and you had to address her as Tootie (which is ugly) because it is her stage name. What made me sad is how rude and demanding she was. I can’t believe any mother would raise their child to feel so entitled and disrespect everyone and anyone.
