dont know if it the same thing your going to?
I went to the O2 concert last April and had a terrific time. The orchestra was very good, as was the enthusiastic conductor, Anthony Daniels was a fine compere and the showing of footage across the six STAR WARS films on the state of the art main plasma screen looked fantastic. I know that there were non STAR WARS fans there who went to the event and equally enjoyed it. Its all done in a presentation that’s not bogged down and is very accessible to watch and listen to.
The exhibition is all props from the LUCASFILM archives, but don’t be totally fooled, some items like Yoda (and Chewbacca) are replica creations created for exhibition touring use-the original masks and material they were created from are in very fragile storage states and would disintegrate if taken out of the LUCASFILM archives. On the plus side, the exhibition has props/costumes and peices of art that have never been seen before outside of the ranch in any previous exhibition. The Darth Vader costume there may have been one of the real ones from RETURN OF THE JEDI but I can’t confirm this. I don’t remember the metal bikini there, though-I would have remembered it if it was-believe me!!
