My husband and I are both Halloween enthusiasts.
We love cheesy horror films, carving pumpkins, and dressing in classic costumes (mummy, vampire, frankenstein, freddy krueger, etc..)
I was just wondering if there were any other Halloween-loving parents out there, and if so,
How do you feel about families dressing up in a matching costume-theme?
At what age do you feel its appropriate for a child to pick their own costume?
[and when they pick their own costume, do you give them a few different options to choose from or just ask them "what do you want to be?" without any options or suggestions?]
And also, how do you feel about cutesy vs ‘scary’ costumes for families and for children?
[for example, for a little girl, cutesy princess/fairy/ballerina vs scary witch/black cat/dead bride]
I’m planning on making a zombie movie but I don’t have much money. I heard somewhere that you can make fake zombie skin using toilet paper. How can I make fake zombie skin for as less amount of money as possible?
No need to answer them all just the ones you can or want?
Star if you please.
1. Are you willing to look past the mistakes of your fellow humans and forgive?
2. At what age would you say, trick or treating becomes inappropriate?
3. Imagine you’re in your yard. A grown man, dressed in a Pikachu costume, comes out of nowhere and trips and falls in "your" yard. He then says, "My right arm’s broken. I want 0,000, but we can settle out of court right now for bucks!" What are you going to say or do in response?’
4. Do you remember the show, "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters"?
5. Are you capable of blackmailing someone you know?
6. If given the chance, would you spend the midnight hours engaging in vigilante activity?
7. Imagine that you’re asleep. It’s 5am. There’s a knock at the door. It wakes you, so you go to see who it is. When you open the door you see a person dressed as Darth Vader. He says, "Chaos control!’ He then throws a pie in your face and runs off. Do you give chase after this person?
Ok well i might be going to a convention sometime with my brother… and because of the fact that no one in my town really likes anime and stuff… i don’t want to do a full out cosplay costume… (i will be posting the pictures haha that’s why)
so i wanted to do something simple that isn’t too insane but it’s not boring at the same time…i was thinking of just wearing a green and white stripped hat that urahara wears from bleach (i am getting the hat no matter what, because hes awesome and i love it ^_^) and like a green shirt w/ a black jacket… and then maybe carry around a fan and a pimp cane xD
or wear suki’s face makeup from avatar: the last airbender: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://img2.blogcu.com/images/a/v/a/avatarzuzuzuko/suki.jpg&imgrefurl=http://avatarzuzuzuko.blogcu.com/&usg=__BJPvtHN5rUmJm5Hn4Iocbqk2Z7Y=&h=225&w=300&sz=14&hl=en&start=10&sig2=vdfCgxAwEhMcud_YSXq8Kg&zoom=1&tbnid=nnpNC2yAXszgPM:&tbnh=120&tbnw=151&ei=pTaATMDPBIGBlAfw1pnTDw&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dsuki%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1017%26bih%3D570%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C228&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=524&oei=nzaATLjGJcSclgfKxtCXDg&esq=2&page=2&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:10&tx=59&ty=75&biw=1017&bih=570

i am writing poem about cinderella,

and who’s the women gave her dress and everything?
I was just wondering with the Hogan family meltdown if the WWE still sells Hulk Hogan’s merchandise (haven’t been to a live show in a while). Anyone know?
P.S. Not looking to buy anything — just curious.
I received a Hello Kitty rice cooker for my birthday. I LOVE it, my only problem is the instructions are in Japanese. The model I received was from amazon, and amazon called it "hello kitty rice cooker: bunny" It is pink with hello kitty and of course, bunnies on it. I have never owned a rice cooker. So this is a new experience for me. Does anyone else know how to use this particular model?
I’ve often wondered what toddlers and really young children think when they watch "Barney" or "Sesame Street." Does it ever occur to them what exactly Barney is? I mean do they think he is real or they know he is just some guy in a dinosaur costume? Do they ever think why they never see Barney or Big Bird in real life, only on TV?
Actually, a parent once told me that their child loved watching Barney on TV, had all the Barney dolls and everything and once when they had a chance to meet ‘Barney’ at the mall they were terrified even though they knew beforehand that they were going to meet him.
You can probably tell I don’t have children. But I would like some others opinions on this. I watched these shows when I was kid but I honestly don’t remember exactly what I thought.
